DAX'S BIO

Dax Munna is a professional darts instructor, columnist and player who has served as an on-air darts commentator for the Championship Darts Corporation on the PDC stream. He has won events in America at the local, regional, and national levels and has been featured in a variety of news and social media outlets.

Dax started playing darts in 2003 when he worked in the hospitality industry. He was a quick study in the game, and discovered that he was passionate about improving and distilling the lessons learned.

The turning point in Dax’s skills was when he met Freddy Krueger (real name!). Dax and Freddy entered the Seacoast Open in Massachusetts as partners. It was his first national event, and they won a pairs event.

During his time in New England, Dax connected with the team from the Pro Player Developmental Singles League (PDSL) now the people behind Dart Connect—the premier scoring app in the world. Dax realized the benefit of playing long-format which most of the US was not doing. He brought long-format play to New York, making the league more competitive and allowing consistent players to stand out. He then created the New York Premier League, which featured nationally recognized talent competing in set play.

Dax is an internationally known darts instructor, working with beginners and PDC professionals alike; in-person and remotely. He has worked with players on every continent and has consulted for corporate events and private clubs.

In 2018, Dax began writing a Darts Coaching Column for A-ZDarts.com—the number one retailer of online dart products and largest distributor of Dart Supplies in North America. A-Z has been in business for thirty years, selling 14,000 products. Dax’s articles dissect the game in different ways and make it more tangible for players of all levels.

Dax has worked with Madison Square Garden, the PDC, and the CDC for the U.S. Dart Masters in New York City since 2022.

Dax is professionally known in the darts world as Dr. Manhattan for his philosophical approach to life and the game. He lives and works in his hometown of New York City and recently received accreditation through the Junior Darts Corporation to start a youth academy. Dax is a family man first, but he looks to keep his game at an 18 dart average should he free up on a weekend for a local tournament. He devotes most of his darting free time to working with players looking to take their games to the next levels. He is writing a comprehensive book on darts as well as a gritty, character-study feature film with darts as the backdrop.
